Who’s Eric Taylor?

I’m a husband and a father of five amazing children.

On a daily basis, I’m a collaborative, passionate and energetic business person running a successful speaking, coaching and training company. I’m the creator and co-author of Mastering the World of Selling, published by John Wiley & Sons. The second book in the series, Mastering the World of Marketing is scheduled to be released in 2011.

Everyday, I speak, train, coach and consult with enthusiastic, ethical and forward thinking companies and leaders in the area of sales, sales management, leadership, employee motivation and personal development.

I started my “professional sales career” at the age of seventeen, selling pots and pans door-to- door in New Jersey. I also spent two years in Europe, serving my country in the U.S Air Force. I then went on to build a successful seven-figure entertainment company while simultaneously earning my B.A. in Communication from Monmouth University.

In 1998, I bought a national sales training franchise which inspired and lead me to take my professional speaking career national. After selling my sales training franchise, I began producing and promoting public seminars featuring national best-selling authors and speakers in the areas of sales, leadership and personal development.

On October 8th, 2002, I produced my first public sales seminar featuring my friend and mentor Jeffrey Gitomer. More than eight-hundred salespeople attended the event at the famous Count Basie Theater, in Red Bank, N.J. A new passion and business was created.

On September 29th 2004 I created and produced Empower New Jersey, a public inspirational seminar at First Energy Park in Lakewood, NJ.

My featured speaker that evening was Christopher Reeve.

Chris died ten days after my event; his message changed my life forever.

I’ve had the opportunity to work, speak, promote, produce or train with mentors like Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Jeffrey Gitomer, Bob Proctor, Bryan Dodge, Tony Jeary, Dr. Bob Nelson, Ron White and many others.

In 2007, I approached and had a meeting with David Riklan the founder of SelfGrowth.com, about a book series concept. From that meeting, the Mastering the World book series was born.

One of my favorite quotes is, “How you spend your days is how you spend your life”.

I’m blessed to have a healthy, loving family and I have the privilege to serve and work with people and organizations everyday who are committed to professional excellence and personal growth.
